Bio: GEE BELLO Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Percussionist, Entertainer Music Is His Life ..Gee Bello was born in Manchester, England to an extrovert family whose father was a musician and actor appearing in many Hollywood movies including The African Queen. His family lived in a large house letting out rooms to touring musicians, so as a child the entertainment world was never too far away. At 15, Gee and some family friends formed a group called Street Gang. They spent 2 years working in England and touring Europe, playing cover material and gaining a wealth of experience, if no money! However, Gees ambitions drove him to London in order to work amongst musicians dedicated to writing, performing and developing their own style of music. Gee first came to public attention when he was recruited as percussionist for Light of the World in 1979, renowned as the premier British Jazz Funk Band of its day. Gee developed his song-writing an! d musical talents until he emerged as the bands lead singer and an essential part of their song-writing team. Light of the World recorded 4 albums; the most successful of these being Round Trip with 4 hit singles (I Shot The Sheriff, Time, and London Town, I'm So Happy). The group became recognised within the industry as a clear pool of musical talent spawning offspring bands namely Incognito and Beggar & Co.
